We petition the Obama administration to repeal the 1986 Hughes amendment banning newly made machine guns for civilians.

Created by D.C. on August 05, 2013

This petitions the Obama administration to repeal the 1986 ban on newly made machine guns, machine guns are already legal and available to civilians. But they are grandfathered in before the ban, and can cost upwards of $15,000 to $20,000 dollars, literally creating a form of class warfare. Repealing this ban will NOT take machine guns off the NFA registry, it will ONLY allow for the production of new machine guns to make them more available to law abiding citizens and bring down cost, these weapons are already never used in crime due to them being registered to the owner under the NFA of 1934, and the number of legal machine guns on the registry is shrinking every day, please sign this petition to re-legalize what should have never been banned in the first place, thank you.
