The legal strangle hold the Republicans have on the Debt Ceiling must be declared illegal by the President of the United States under the terms of Clause 1, Section 3, of the 14th Amendment of the US Constitution, which states the following:
“The validity of the public debt of the United States, authorized by law, including debts incurred for payment of pensions and bounties for services in suppressing insurrection or rebellion, shall not be questioned.”
This long-dormant clause of the US Constitution must be implemented immediately by any legal means.
