This petition is drafted in order to verify or dismiss the many assertions that Adam Lanza used an assault rifle on that fateful day of December 14, 2012 by publicly displaying any factual evidence towards that claim. In that the Medical Examiner attested to multiple rifle wounds and local law enforcement attested to four handguns found, substantial misinformation and conflicting accounts have caused panic and confusion among many citizens. No future criminal prosecutions are jeopardized as the killer allegedly committed suicide. If there is no proof of any assault rifle, then the Commission on Gun Reform Laws is without merit or purpose.
