As a fan of the Washington Redskins, we should not be forced to change the name of the team. That name is a part of our heritage which dates back to 1933. We have won two NFL Championships and three Super Bowls under the name Washington Redskins. The franchise has captured ten NFL divisional titles and six NFL conference championships under the Redskins name.
The Redskins name honors and respects the American Indians. Daniel Snyder, team owner, has taken necessary measures to try and prove this point, by launching the Washington Redskins Original Americans Foundation.
