We request that President Obama remain in Washington, providing leadership until the fiscal cliff crisis is resolved.

Created by J.C. on November 27, 2012

The immediate and long-term economic health of our country depends on resolving the "fiscal cliff" facing us at year-end. We recognize that compromises must be made by members of each political party, and that only through rigorous and earnest negotiations can such compromises be reached. We are alarmed to see our President continue to spend a majority of his time outside of Washington DC instead of meeting with Congressional leaders to develop a solution. Right now, America desperately needs leadership. We need a President who will make a specific proposal to resolve the fiscal cliff crisis, and then work with members of both parties to turn that proposal into a plan that can be agreed upon. Our economy is fragile, and we cannot afford a game of "chicken." Get to work, Mr. President
