We request the President to protect the First Amendment rights of “freedom of speech” and “right to peaceably assemble”.

Created by O.Z. on October 17, 2011

We request the President to protect the First Amendment rights of “freedom of speech” and “right to peaceably assemble”. People are protesting under “Occupy Wall Street” initiative. These people have been denied places to stay, use of megaphones to speak their mind, use of sleeping bags to keep them worm, use of tents to stay out of rain and other basic necessities that people must have. They are brutally attacked and arrested by police for taking part in the protests and speaking their mind. The police officers who assault people are not facing justice and effectively above the law.
It’s time for you, Mr. President, to remember your oath : "I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will... to the best of my ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States."
