We, the Signers, request that our military and intelligence services retaliate in response to Russia's interference in the 2016 U.S. elections. We believe this foreign intervention is unprecedented and, from all appearances, was successful in swaying our elections. There is overwhelming evidence that Russia was involved in hacking the Democratic National Committee, as well as Hillary Clinton's campaign with the intent of impacting our elections. Additionally, Russian officials have now acknowledged collusion with WikiLeaks as well as the Trump campaign. It is our opinion that a retaliatory response is required as a deterrent against future foreign intervention in the U.S. electoral process.
