We respectfully request the administration to disband the Bureau of Alcohol, Tabacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF). For the FY 2013 the ATF has requested $1,153 million for 4,937 positions of which only 2,451 are agents. This is one of the largest waste of money and resources in the Department of Justice. With the agency disbanded local and state agencies will be able to enforce federal law without such a waste of tax payer money. We the people also believe that the cuurent laws that are supposed to be enforced by the ATF could be enforced by local police departments much more effeciently. The funding that the ATF was going to recieve should be used to pay down the national debt.
