We Respectfully Request You Stop the Violent Oppression of the Expression of Free Speech, Assembly and Protest.

Created by T.S. on November 20, 2011

Rights to speak, assemble and protest are not restricted by hours, voice amplification, the days duration or the number of people involved. Safety/sanitary issues should be accommodated, NOT used as an excuse for police to commit violent acts.

We request that as President: Denounce the use of pepper spray, batons, concussion grenades, rubber bullets and other inciting physical violence against passive, peaceful protesters. Direct our justice department to investigate and prosecute civil rights violations inflicted on citizens by police and leadership who have directed and/or condoned such acts. Affirm basic and constitutionally guaranteed rights and direct all governments to respect OUR rights whenever the the use of violent force against peaceful protesters is considered.
