We Seek Equality for Fathers: Expand Financial responsibility equally to both parents after a divorce.

Currently throughout the US, where "no fault" divorce and community property clauses combine with the expectation of "a lifestyle accustomed to", the prospect of divorce leads to an unequal economic burden being placed upon the parent who is functioning as the primary support mechanism. This too often eliminates equal custody as an option. Children need both parents but current custody law makes this difficult. In addition many parents intentionally abuse the system to avoid any economic responsibility while simultaneously neglecting their children. The only recourse for the supporting parent is prohibitively expensive legal battles in which they are required to pay for both sides. This harms children by leaving little money or time for them to receive the supporting parents love as well.
