We strongly urge President Obama not to remove the monument, and let Japan’s crime be the lesson of the history.

In many cases, women were lured with promises of work in factories. Only 68 of the women managed to return to Korea. From 1992 until now, every Wednesday, the comfort women of Korea are holding a demonstration in front of the Japanese embassy for governmental reparations, formal and individual apologies, yet Japan replies with silence, ignorance and distortion of their brutal history.
