This is a petition to have the administration and the President himself to wear a gold tie on at least one day in September 2014 to honor those children who have been diagnosed with childhood cancer and to raise awareness, so research funds can be raised to battle this monster. Cancer killed my blue eyed little girl Abbie Catherine Waters 3 years ago and we need to raise awareness. Abbie was diagnosed at 7, underwent several surgeries...18 months of chemo and many weeks of radiation. The day before she died after spending the prior night at the movies with her friends...she screamed "I do not want to die" and asked me "Mommy isn't there something that can be done?" She had just had her 9th birthday. This should not happen to anyone, let alone our children.
