To show America and the World, especially American politicians who think the best way to fight terror is to slam the door on innocent women and children fleeing the same terror we claim to be fighting, that America is the beacon of welcoming freedom we claim to be, and have been in the past. Welcoming a Syrian refugee family to the Capitol building and showcasing them on National and International Television will show the world that terror will not break us, and will not define our humanity.
