The narative that Washington is broken seems to be propagated with inuendo that the problem is President Obama has trouble making friends and deals with the Repbulicans.
A large number of these members are obstructionist hell bent on imposing there values on ALL Americans at any cost, not willing to compromise.
These people play to special interest ideals because they may believe in these ideals or they need the donations and support for re-election.
In any case they are not politicians but politcal terrorist and have no place in Government.
They get elected because of huge donations and smear campaigns.
