What plan does the current administration haved to ensure a new supreme court justice is appointed before year end?

In light of the recent election, liberals are worried about the appointment of supreme court justices during the next administration. What actions, if any, are our democratic representatives willing to take in order to ensure that the vacancy is filled by the end of the year? Now is the time for the democratic party to take a stand and show your constituents that you are willing to make sacrifices in order to protect the freedoms we have won over the past eight years.
