The controversial incident of Edward Snowden has revealed the US government possesses a double standard on human rights protection.
For early detection or prevention of terrorist attack/crime, the US government is in a firm position to put forward its plan of almost eavesdropping on nationwide telecom companies and international email/social network operators. However, implementing this will render the basic and necessary privacy, our basic human rights being compromised and jeopardized. As such information abuse is simply unavoidable too.
So it is high time when governments should rethink over the trade-off between unsurpassable human rights and uni-national justice, particularly the latter is putting Washington's values above and infringing upon the interests of a globlal population.
