When Public Safety Is Nobody’s Interest

This petition concerns serious negligence of responsible government institutions in protecting the public’s safety. After discovering the new 800-Amp electric service to my building did not meet code and posed a public hazard concern, I requested the contractor and the City of Joliet to correct the problem. The installation was inappropriately approved by the City building inspector, and the electric utility company ComEd connected the service because “the city approval sticker was there”.
Electric wires are hanging so low that children, could easily touch them. Yet nobody responsible wants to take any corrective action.
Instead the city launched a vicious campaign against the owner, trying to cover-up their mistake. I have exhausted all of my legal means and funds.
