Whenever a petition generates a response like the "Why we cannot comment" make an effort instead for a solution.

In that there are many petitions requesting that the office of the white house initiate law enforcement action, or comment on ongoing investigations, or do other things, which clearly are important (Like directly request clemency) (8 of them have passed threshold) but that haven't been commentable We request that the office of the president find a better way to answer this than "Why we cannot comment" and a canned response.

be that actually forwarding it to the Office of the Pardon Attorney, or even checking to see if there is a public investigation, "Why we can't comment" "canned response" is ridiculous. it falls well below the dignity of the office, and makes a mockery of this entire exercise, when beer requests are taken more seriously than information requests? That's absurd.
