Since Friday, we have heard countless people discuss gun control. Senators plan to introduce sweeping gun control bills as soon as Congress begins. People are more polarized than ever over gun control.
YET I have heard no discussion of mental health reform. No Congressperson is running to introduce new bills to make it easier to get help for those with mental illness. No one is pushing to make it less stigmatic to ask for help. No one is pushing to make it easier to get people help who may not want it.
Please don't let this opportunity to address meaningful mental health reform get consumed by those who oppose 2nd amendment rights.
