WHEREAS it is the common sense desire of good Americans to reduce violence; and
WHEREAS, according to the FBI, more people are killed by hammers and clubs than rifles or shotguns;
WHEREAS, neither possession nor use of hammers and clubs are specifically protected rights under the constitution;
the undersigned petitioners proclaim their desire for the president to ban the use of hammers and clubs by executive order in the name of ending violence in America.
