Law Enforcement has increasingly become militarized since 2003 with the bombing of Iraq. Instead of protecting and serving, the perception of law enforcement in many communities has become harass, threaten, and kill. Similarly to the Whistleblower Protection Act of 1989, there are responsible and honest individuals that do want to protect and serve as police officers, but cannot due to internal pressures and racism within their departments. Additionally, by eliminating corrupt officers, this lessens the financial burdens on already strapped cities and municipalities brought on my lawsuits and investigations. This will also show all Americans that Congress agrees that there is a problem with undeserved violence perpetrated by law enforcement on America's citizens.
