Millions of people in Rural America are without Broadband Internet. Broadband Providers have received billions of Federal dollars over the years to deliver broadband to rural America. Most people in rural areas have nothing to show for it.
In rural areas, we might have an option with Satellite Internet, but satellite internet companies regularly deliver internet that is slower than dial-up and with extremely low data caps. They do this while taking federal funds for providing broadband to rural areas. The FCC just looks the other way.
AT&T has also received federal funding to provide access in rural areas. Like millions of other Americans, the people on my street have been waiting on AT&T DSL for years. We have seen AT&T develop and roll-out faster internet in cities while we wait.
