As the medicinal & industrial uses for hemp & cannabis are becoming more & more apparent, please explain the administration's reasoning for not pushing for the legalization of cannabis, CBD oil, & hemp. Cannabis has been proven safer & less addictive than alcohol, has proven to have incredible medicinal advances, & the industrial uses are legion. A rational person can not fathom the reasons why it is still illegal.
The "war on drugs" wastes more money & lives than any other policy or law. The legalization, industrialization & taxation of cannabis would create more jobs, create monetary velocity & allow more medical breakthroughs.
Can adding more police officers & prisons enable medical innovation? Please explain the administration's view on illegal cannabis w/ citations where possible.
