why does every celestial body in our solar system have a name except our moon?

the moon orbiting earth happens to be the only moon or recognized rock in our solar system without a name my science teacher,classmates and I believe this deserves a proper name you may think "the Moon" is a name look at this sentence before and after
before: Look at the full moon, it is beautiful tonight.
After: look at the full Bob, it is beautiful tonight
Doest after look so much better and funnier?
some things to think about before a name would be what gender is the moon male or female?
do we want our moon to have a long or short name?
finally do we want it to have a nick name or not?
