Why isn't our top priority renovating the education system with higher teaching standards and increased funds?

Created by L.V. on September 24, 2011

Our education system is overrun with under-qualified teachers who don't care about students or their futures. Education needs a fresh start with innovative ideas; take some notes from Khan Academy. The children need to learn, have time spent with them, work on homework problems together. A firmer emphasis in education is the key to success in our country's future. Knowledge and morals attained from competent, respected mentors help to build the framework for future entrepreneurs, innovators, scientists, doctors, teachers. A modest percentage of the defense budget would do wonders. If you do not care about education, you do not care about this country. It's time the US invested in its future: in its education system.
