The economy will suffer greatly - some people have medical bills that they cannot afford as it is. Familes will truly suffer from this furlough because no one plan for a 20% pay cut. We have mortgages and lots of other bills. We have been giving and taking for a long time and this is what congress do to DOD employees. How can we afford to pump money into the foreign nations and can't take care of the American people.
