An anthem for a state is meant to reflect the beliefs and traits of that state's people, and no artist or song personifies the spirit of New Jersey more than Bruce Springsteen and "Born to Run". The lyrics are inspiring, and no artist in America is more associated with America and its patriotic beliefs than Bruce Springsteen. So why don't we honor an American hero and become an even more amazing state and country in the process? I can't think of an anthem that more personifies New Jersey and America than "The Boss" and his signature tune - can you?
