withdraw aid from Uganda in wake of extreme anti-gay legislation that if passed, will extend the death penalty to LGBTs.

Created by C.D. on February 24, 2013

Uganda has been fighting for 4 years now to try and pass an anti-gay bill that would extend the death penalty/life imprisonment to LGBT people, in addition to harsh sentences for their friends, family, employers, or landlords that protect/support/do business with them. False and outrageous propaganda supported by extremist conservatives have already driven many LGBT in Uganda into hiding.

If passed, this will be a grave defeat to civil rights around the globe, and will pave the way to more hate based legislation.

We need to send a strong message that this is not acceptable, and withdraw aid while they are attempting this potentially tragic law.
