withdraw all combat troops from Afghanistan immediately. There is nothing to be gained by staying.

I believe that the mission in Afghanistan has run its course. There is no longer any articulable basis to remain. The loss of more American and Afghani lives is needless. The toll of the members of our military and their families is obvious and unnecessary. Afghanistan is a swamp. It consumed the Russians and will ultimate consume us as well. Get out now.
