Afghanistan is a waste of American lives and money. The troops that are deployed to Operation E.F. not only must fight the Taliban, but also be vigilant against insider attacks. After 30 years of war, Afghanistan has undergone a brain drain; everyone smart enough to help the country rebuild was also smart enough to leave. The country has nothing to offer us.
We petition the Obama administration to
1. Withdraw American armed forces from Afghanistan.
2. Streamline the visa process for Afghan translators and others who provided help to our troops and now face repercussions from the Taliban.
3. Through a deal with the UN, provide the means for Afghan refugees to leave the country and relocate to other nations.
4. Use drones and other unconventional forces to kill powerful Taliban and Al-Q.
