Mr. President,
Mr. Bob McDonald (nominee for Secretary of Veterans Affairs) commented on July 22, 2014 in a Senate confirmation hearing that he will bring "corporate style discipline" to the VA. As his comments indicate a dedication to the status quo of the VA, we do hereby petition you to withdraw his nomination. We further petition you to nominate a candidate for the position whose only concern is the welfare of veterans, and who lacks any concern about the bottom line, separation bonuses, nepotism, harming the well-being of the people the institution is supposed to serve, and any of the other agendas a dedication to "corporate style discipline" insinuates. Corporations are not people, my friend, they have no business running any aspect of government which is of the people.
