Salary increases should be based on performance and merit versus simply given out because one has the ability to give the increase out
Congress as a whole has failed to show any leadership in recent years and has failed to take any actions that defend and support Middle Class America and improving the overall condition of the United States and it's people.
For this reason alone, Congress and the Vice President hasn't earned any salary increase of any other perks of the position.
