We the people ask the federal government to Change an existing Administration policy:

Withdraw Judge Garland Nomination and Let the New POTUS nominates Someone else in 2017

Created by T.J. on October 24, 2016

On March 16, 2016, President Obama nominated Merrick Garland, the Chief Judge of the United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit, to fill the vacant seat on the Court. At 63 years, 124 days of age, Garland was the oldest Supreme Court nominee since Lewis F. Powell, Jr. in 1971. Judge Garland is also a very moderate judge, much to the dismay of Progressives who elected President Obama. Now, the GOP has unprecedentedly obstructed Judge Garland's nomination. Given Garland's age (63), his judicial philosophy (moderate), and the GOP unprecedented obstruction, we, as Progressive, are asking President Obama to withdraw Judge Garland as nominee to the Supreme Court. Let the American people decides on November 8, 2018 which president they want to nominate the next justice.
