The Lautenberg Ammendment prohibits any citizen convicted of a domestic battery crime from joining the military. Currently if you're convicted of a misdemeanor you lose your 2nd Amnendment but a felon can ask for a pardon and get their gun rights restored. The Lautenberg Ammendment is a horrible loop hole which bans people convicted of domestic misdemeanors but not felons from the right to the 2nd Ammendmemt. Withdraw the Lautenberg Ammendmemt and restore the 2nd Ammendment to any citizens who have completed any court ordered probation. The restoration of the 2nd Ammendment and withdraw of the Lautenberg Ammendment shall make any United States Citizen eligible to join the Department of Defense, Military or any Civil Service were a firearm and ammunition are used.
