The United Nations was created for "promoting and facilitating cooperation in international law, international security, economic development, social progress, human rights, civil rights, civil liberties, political freedoms, democracy, and the achievement of lasting world peace." One of the four main purposes of this is organization is: "To help nations work together to improve the lives of poor people, to conquer hunger, disease and illiteracy, and to encourage RESPECT FOR EACH OTHER'S RIGHTS AND FREEDOMS."
However, this is not the case. If you look at Agenda 21 and the more recent "Gun Ban Treaty." They are not following through with what they were created for but are trying to have unfettered legislation and control of civil liberties, rights and freedoms of every nation.
