Withdraw the United States from any and all United Nations conventions and treaties regarding narcotics.

The purpose of this petition is to withdraw the United States from any and all United Nations conventions and treaties relating to narcotics. The primary reason for seeking such change is to prevent a situation in which a state, or several states, legalize or decriminalize a substance outlawed by the U.N., and the U.S. government refuses to relinquish that power to the states under the auspices of a binding international treaty. A secondary, although hopefully less necessary, reason for implementing such change is to prevent a situation in which international forces attempt to seize control over the United States based upon the U.S.' status as a party to such treaties combined with a potential refusal to enforce such treaties per citizen ballot initiatives in the several states.
