President Putin's laws discriminate and mistreat the LGBT community of Russia. As citizens of the US (and of other countries), we cannot be seen as consenting parties to this ongoing injustice. With that in mind, we, the citizens of the US, are asking you, the President of the United States, for US withdrawal from the 2014 Winter Olympics, so as to send the message to Vladimir Putin that this behavior is acceptable and should not be condoned. The United States and all other participants in the upcoming Olympic Games should remember what the Olympic Games are about, and withdraw, unless Russia's treatment of its LGBT citizens changes.
