Withdrawal support from the natural gas drilling industry, an equally devastating & dangerous alternative fuel source.

Created by A.H. on July 09, 2013

Natural Gas Drilling uses the technique of hydraulic fracturing to extract the resource deep below the earth's surface. Because of where natural gas rests, natural gas producers must use chemicals and unprecedented amounts of water (one fracked well uses between 2-8 million gallons of water) and sand to break through the shale. Unfortunately, this process has been suspected of contaminating fresh water sources from attractive streams down to the unseen water table humans access for everyday necessities.

The problems created by hydraulic fracturing don't stop at fresh water pollution, but contains an assortment of other hazards.
