Withhold Congressional pay if they fail to take action to prevent a government shutdown.

Created by A.T. on September 28, 2013

Given the increasing dysfunction in the legislative branch and their abject failure to work on the behalf of American taxpayers, we, the undersigned, believe our legislators should not be exempted from the effects of a government shutdown. Permanent appropriations notwithstanding, we ask the White House to use any executive power available to withhold salaries from members of Congress until such time as they restore government operations. No other citizens get paid when they do not perform their jobs. Congress should be no exception.
