Congress is in charge of funding the government and must work diligently to pass budgets. Allowing partisan politicians to hold the country hostage while collecting a paycheck is absurd. Congressional members should be the first federal employees to lose their paychecks. Why allow them to stop paying our civil servants and members of the armed forces while they collect 6 figure salaries for refusing to compromise?
