Public schools with zero tolerance policies renege on their responsibility to make good decisions. We expect those that educate our children to be capable of distinguishing normal childhood behaviors from destructive and violent tendencies. Imaginative play is a vital aspect of childhood development and is an important step in the socialization of our children and to deny such in an educational environement is ludicrous.
