Hold the President and Congress accountable. All too often those who have to endure the consequences of the dysfunction in Washington are the Citizens and it is time that Congress and the Executive Branch have some skin in the game. This petition is for Congress and Executive Branch personnel to forgo all compensation without a chance of getting it back retroactive. The compensation would be lost at the start of Sequestration and applied to pay down the deficit until a plan is signed and approved to get the United States' Fiscal house in order. Our leaders should not be exempt from the financial hardship many American will have to endure as a result of their petty bickering. They created the mess and they can fix it or they can work for free until it is fixed.
