Congress and the White House have to work together to meet the needs of the people by completing their job of meeting the most basic commitments to the veterans, retired and disabled who contributed into their systems. This was done with the understanding they would receive their benefits when needed. These are the same taxpayers who voted for members of Congress and President and Vice President with the understanding that the President will to the best of their ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States. Members of Congress also solemnly swear (or affirm) that they will support the Constitution of the United States.
One of the duties of our elected officials is to reach an agreement to meet these commitments. They don't have to like it, just do it!
