We The People request that all government salary be withheld from, and forfeit by, all members of Congress, as well as the President of the United States, for the duration of any period of government shutdown.
The American People demand an effective and efficient Congress. The inability of Congress to perform their duties has brought the government to a halt and threatened the well being of the many government employees deemed "non-essential".
We deem an inefficient, ineffective, and immature Congress to be "non-essential" to the well being of America, and refuse to fund such a Congress until they are able to return our government to an operational state.
