With an increasing elderly population living longer more productive lives, Social Security disbursements threaten to expedite bankruptcy of the entire American economy. We should vote to evolve Social Security into a poverty reducer for the elderly that will last into successive generations. Retired persons with the luxury of financial comfort should not usurp resources required for the survival of others.
