It perplexes me how we cannot find a middle ground between Senate and house Republicans or Democrats on a fiscal solution to not only avert a fiscal cliff, but to bring a harmonious balance between spending and cuts.
One side of the argument is that we are only seeking to pay debts already accrued. The other side is we cannot balance a budget because there are too many entitlement programs and cuts are demanded.
Fact: Unemployment is high Fact: The economy is not recovering as expected.
SO why do we see continuous reports of 100's of millions sent to other countries and gifting F-16's to that country like we can afford it. These are our tax dollars! We want Americans put first BEFORE other countries are taken care of. Our allies can pick up the slack for a while.
