Be it resolved that we, the citizens of these United States of America, hereby request that each United States Senator and Representative to Congress receive a sum of zero ($0.00) USD dollars of pay retroactive to the start of the sequester until said sequester is resolved and avoided.
Once the sequester is fully resolved and avoided, be it moved that each United States Senator and Representative to Congress be entitled to a yearly salary of no more than the average United States household income (as of 2012, this figure stands at $45,018 per annum and should be adjusted at the end of each year) until the federal deficit reaches an amount of zero ($0.00) USD dollars.
