Women against Hobby Lobby

Created by A.F. on March 30, 2014

The Supreme Court of the United States in the case of Sebelius v. Hobby Lobby will be voting on whether for-profit corporations will be able to deny health coverage for contraceptives based on the religious objections of the corporate owners. This could set a dangerous precedent for all corporations to deny coverage on the basis of their owners religious beliefs. Jehovah Witnesses would be able to deny coverage for blood transfusions, fundamentalist religious groups could deny coverage for vaccinations, and others could deny all health coverage entirely (due to their belief in the healing power of prayer).Religious freedom protection should be limited to private, non profit entities or individuals.
