Women should be subject to the Selective Service (Draft) Just as men are by law.

Created by J.S. on January 23, 2013

This is 2013 and women are not being treated equally to their male counter parts. They are not subject to Selective Service (Draft) by law and this should be corrected. Men have been subject to the draft by law since 1940 and the penalties for not signing up include a possible $250,000 dollar fine, No federal student loans, Can't become a US citizen if you arrived in the US before your 25th birthday, no federal jobs or training and you can be punished by the state that you live in.Since The Supreme Court based its decision in 1980 largely on the DOD policy that excluded women from combat and the exclusion is due to be reversed tomorrow (1-24-2013) their is no reason not to include women in the Selective Service (draft) anymore and true equality can be gained. Thank you for your time.
