Work with the ADA to adjust crosswalk timers nationwide, so the blind can trust the Accessible Pedestrian noise signal.

Created by J.G. on April 15, 2015

Cites across the nation need to adjust the crosswalk timers so the blind can trust Accessible Pedestrian noise signal.

Issue: Anyone who has walked or driven in almost any city will most likely find themselves the victim of a timing issue at a crosswalk. The pedestrian gets the go to "Walk" but so does the driver making a right or left turn. It's downright stressful and causing unnecessary traffic back up, uneasy pedestrians not to mention a hazard to the blind who trust the APS noise signal.

Solution? Delayed Green for everyone, a 4 way crosswalk. Giving everyone a chance to safely cross at the same time safely.
